Re: Alumni Scotland trip (as seen on Facebook)

In my haste to get back to the Clagaigh Inn I forgot you've been having good times in Cairngorms too. Much of a muchness at that time of year. Whatever works.

Bit of a hatchett job on the facebook thread there, some sensible and encouraging posts deleted, shame.

Re: Alumni Scotland trip (as seen on Facebook)

That place looks class crack. If it's not free I'd recommend this place we stayed at on a recent club trip. http://www.inchree.co.uk/accommodation/rooms/ . Cheap as chips, 2-5person rooms with ensuite, excellent drying room, pub/restaurant on-site. It also has group hostel and chalet accommodation o...

Re: Donegal Climbfest 2013

Climb fest was great craic. Was lots of craic round the campfire and cruit was breathtaking. It would be an ideal venue for a club trip with a wide range of grades and lots for prospective outdoor climbers and new leaders. With nice walk offs and good situations for managing large groups. Plus bar w...

Memorial Slideshow

Whats the craic with the slideshow this year? Have you guys any dates in mind at this stage? Need to make sure it deosn't clash with xmas dinners or UUJCC dinner etc.

This is a big year, good to get the date out there so everyone can pencil it into the diaries.

Re: Helmets

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! We'll I finally did it, I stepped into the forum time warp and ended up back in the 90s, when wearing climbing helmets 'just wasn't cool'. Back then everyone had their 'reasons' for not wearing a helmet. They're too hot, too heavy, get in the way, only p...

Re: GOLA 2012!!

For anyone thinking about taking a boat. Paddling out to Gola is a serious undertaking and care is still needed just paddling around the island (if you don't want to end up in Newfoundland) take care. :)

All the classic routes are covered by the guide and there's a good introduction about the island and camping arrangements which is worth a read. Ya can print some of the newer climbs off climbing.ie

Maybe someone's working away at this but seeing as Steve, Psychs and Myself have raised this countless times in person, on forum, at meetings etc over the years and been ignored you'll have to excuse me if I keep on about this. Can someone raise this at the AGM or wherever you think would be most re...

Hey Steve did anyone from the committee get back to you on this?
Or maybe they've gone direct to Mary to rectify the situation?
