It is currently Mon Aug 29, 2016 2:21 pm
Climbing wall training sessions continue every wednesday at the Ozone at 2PM. Meet at 1.30pm at the sports centre reception in Jordanstown for transport to the wall. Sessions end at 5pm and transport returns to Jordanstown at 5:30.
If you are making your own way to the wall and need directions check out this map.
Remember you need to be a member of both the Sports center and the sports union to participate!
Please do make an effort to attend any and all club events, but do not be discouraged if you are stuck in a lecture. Post on the message board when you are free and we will point you in the right direction of when and where to meet other club members at the climbing wall.
Any questions just ask.
WELCOME TO UUJ MOUNTAINEERING CLUB
UUJMC is not only a great place for learning a new sport or to brush up on existing skills but acts as the best social club of the university (unofficially) with our numerous annual trips and a few extra on the side!
We are a well established eclectic group that enjoy all the aspects of climbing from bouldering, to deep water soloing, to big wall climbing, to hill walking. We organise all events through the UUJMC forum - get involved in this early to keep informed about up and coming activities.
During term time we continue to meet at 1:30pm at Jordanstown sports centre every Wednesday and then travel to the Ozone Leisure complex for 2pm to start our weekly wall sessions!
During the summer holidays the sun occasionally shines and we can get out climbing. The Mournes, Donegal & The climbing promised land are all just a short drive away. The ozone is open for the public so there's nothing to stop you getting climbing with other club members.
The trips and social events are perfect for meet existing club members, to get to know other fresher's and experience festivities UUJMC style!
Heep an eye on the website and the forum for all the plans for 2012/13.
